Getting Started
What is BillBridge?
BillBridge is invoicing, time tracking, quotes, and client management software built for freelancers and small agencies.
How do I add a client?
Go to Clients → New Client. Fill in their name, email, and contact details. Clients are required before creating invoices.
How do I create my first invoice?
Go to Invoices → New Invoice. Select a client, add line items, set a due date, and click Create. You can download a PDF on any plan; email delivery requires Pro or Business.
What's the difference between invoices and quotes?
Quotes are sent before work begins as a price proposal. Once accepted, convert a quote to an invoice with one click.
Invoicing & Payments
Can I send invoices by email?
On Pro and Business plans, open any invoice and use the action menu → Send email. The client receives a professional email with a PDF attachment. Free plan users can share invoice PDFs manually.
How do I mark an invoice as paid?
Open the invoice and click Mark as paid in the actions menu. You can also record partial payments.
What are payment destinations?
Payment destinations are your bank, PayPal, or Wise details. Add them in Payments and they appear on invoices so clients know where to send money.
Time Tracking
How does time tracking work?
Use the live timer or add entries manually. Entries can be linked to projects and imported into invoices as line items.
Can I create invoices from time entries?
Yes. When creating a new invoice, import time entries from a project as line items.
Billing & Plans
Does the free plan show ads?
Yes. The free plan includes advertisements in the dashboard and on public pages. Pro and Business plans include an ad-free experience.

What is the difference between Free, Pro, and Business?
Free is for getting started with up to 3 clients and includes ads. Pro ($12/mo) unlocks unlimited clients, email delivery, branding removal, templates, and recurring invoices with no ads. Business ($29/mo) adds a custom email domain, a shareable client invoice portal, and priority email support (1 business day response).
What is priority email support on Business?
Business plan subscribers receive priority email support with a target response within 1 business day. Email [email protected] and include "Business plan" in the subject line. Free and Pro plans receive standard support with a target response within 2 business days.
Features & Tips
Is there a keyboard shortcut?
Press ⌘K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows to open the command palette and quickly navigate or trigger actions.
How do notifications work?
BillBridge sends alerts for overdue invoices, upcoming bills, and quote expirations. Manage preferences in Profile → Preferences.
What does the calendar show?
The calendar shows invoice due dates, bill payment dates, and quote expiry dates in a monthly view.
